I had a crappy transaction from a seller on Etsy. The item arrived broken - it was hair clips. The sellers policy is to ship back at your own cost and she will fix it. I emailed her stating I could fix it so I would not have to spend more $ on shipping. Well, she admitted she used cheaper glue and I could get 50% off my next order (no thanks!), I asked for a partial refund and she was like 'you are mean'....Then the lil bugger canceled the sale so I cannot leave her f/b. I see she does this a lot. I reported her to Etsy. I hope Etsy takes care of the problem.

Has anyone had this or something like it happen?

She obviously knows nothing about customer service and/or customer relations.  Her behavior is not acceptable.  I only had a problem  with a trade I did.  I do hope Etsy will follow up on your complaint.

The worst part is that etsy probably won't do anything. Every time this person lists an item, they make money.

I had a problem with someone harassing me in the chats once, and I told etsy the person needed to be removed from their site.

Etsy told me that they could only be blocked from me personally.

This person went on to harass many more people I bet.

Ya, Etsy should really do something. I heard the seller I bought from harassed people in chat & created a sock puppet account and did damage to stores. Etsy will not let you talk about transactions in the forums or sellers. I hate to know how many people she did this too.

I was thinking of going through PayPal & trying to get a refund. I should not have to buy a broken product.

you should open a case with paypal. etsy has no jurisdiction there - and paypal is usually on the side of the buyer (which can suck sometimes when you are a seller) but in this case, it's definitely worth a shot.

It looks like Pay Pal protects mostly Ebay sells. I just want to leave her f/b more than anything. She runs two shops & I hope no one else deals with her.

Please let us know who she is so we don't purchase from her.  A seller like that will give others at Etsy a bad name and we don't need that!  I question the maturity level of some people almost daily - chat harrassment!?! Good Gods!

Please do so as a private message if you do. I don't want people getting the bad idea about CQ that we bash etsy sellers. :P

ahh sounds like she was happy  till u asked for a partical refund, which actually sounded very reasonable and fair for you both.

as an etsy seller,  i fear that my customers will leave me bad feedback so i always own up to whatever it takes to make the customer happy and fix the problem.

as an etsy buyer, i keep in mind that i am buying someones handmade d.i.y. crafty stuff and i honestly dont expect the  very best quaility. sucks but sometimes the stuff is so cute i take the chance. but i do expect  the very  best courtesy and compensation.

happy for  u  that you could just fix it yourself ,  homegirl seller should be embarassed for her manners.

I just think that she could have done so much better, not only with the glueing but he policy. I see if I was the first to have this happen to but it looks as though she has done the whole cancel sales thing at least 7 times, but she is pretty stupid because she leaves the buyer comments first like "A+ Seller" and it shows they paid on time.
