Spotlight on Lime Crime Makeup!

Posted by creepyqueen at 02:03 PM on July 08, 2009

Creepy Queen caught up with busy make-up designer and sole employee of Lime Crime Make-up, Miss Doe Deere. We got in contact with Miss Deere after visiting her shop, where we were met with vibrant purple stripes, and enough sparkly eyeshadow to make a girl faint. Being in-the-closet fans of neon sparkly make-up ourselves, we caught up with Miss Deere for an interview.

Creepy Queen: So First off, What is Lime Crime?

Doe Deere of Lime Crime: LimeCrime is a makeup brand I started in 2008, specializing inultra-pigmented, high-impact colors! At the moment, we have anextensive line of eyeshadows, eye-safe glitters, and are coming outwith lipsticks in September 2009.

CQ: Why did you start Lime Crime?

DD of LC: I adore bright-bright-bright eyeshadow and could never find anything vivid enough!

CQ: We read on your website that you yourself are a make-up artist. Do you believe your experience in the industry has effected the quality andstyle of Lime Crime Make-up?

DD of LC: I enjoy makeup beyond words - if I could, I'd spend all day putting it on myself and others. Being a makeup artist allowed me to try out lots of products on the market. What I'd found is that there is every shade of brown and beige out there, but a complete lack for lime green, bright blues or quality yellow. I am psyched to be able to offer these rare colors and more to the public - I want the world to be a colorful place!

CQ: Where would you like to see Lime Crime in five years?

DD of LC: I'd like to see my brand grow beyond all possibilities imagined. Iwant to revolutionize makeup industry and give it a good kick in the butt! Don't know if I'm going to accomplish this in 5 years but it's gonna happen. smile

CQ: You must have a favourite shade. Any color combos or shades you'd recommend?

DD of LC: It changes from season to season, actually. Right now, I'm particularly excited about turquoises and purples - so Mermaid, Duchess and Empress.

CQ: Would you like to share a few application tips you have picked up that are either specific to your brand or make-up in general?

DD of LC: Eyelid Primer is essential for crease-free, long-lasting makeup with some serious color punch. My eyeshadow is already crease-resistant but with the primer you dance, sweat and stayup all night with your makeup as perfect as just applied! Lime Crime is coming out with an eyeshadow base that is truly revolutionary and a total life-saver in a few weeks.

CQ: Where can readers of CreepyQueen find you and your products?

DD of LC: For full selection, visit our official website www.limecrimemakeup.com. We have sales & promotions and offer inexpensive flat shipping to anywhere in the world!
